Radeon HD 6790 can't be unlocked

A few weeks ago AMD has just release RAdeon HD 6790. As previously I report in older post, this card is based on a cut-down of “Barts” GPU first seen in the Raden HD 6800 series, with 160 fewer stream processors than the HD 6850, 8 fewer texture units and half the ROPs. At the $150 it’s not really great deal, but some hope its hardware could be re-enable via a BIOS flash to get a speed boost. Unfortunately, that won’t be the case.
On X-bit labs show to us that HD 6790 not have overclock ability (it locked at the hardware level), different with HD 6970 have a simple tweak to overclock.
Actually, the card should be good overclocker and with board partners implementing their owh cooling solutions users should be able to squeeze extra performance without big problem. We can compare with Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 (768Mb) at same price or pay much budget for more powerful Radeon HD 6850 is a better option.
